We came across a property on our own and then reached out to them based off a friend's recommendation to ask if they could be our Realtors and help us put an offer in on a home within 24 hours. They didn't even hesitate at the short timeline and immediately dug into it and helped us come up with a winning offer. The purchase was a VA loan assumption, so they gave us the heads up that it could be a long process (6+ months) but assured us that they'd be there to assist every step of the way, and they absolutely delivered. They kept us on track with all our deadlines and answered any and all questions we had about real estate in general and the nuances of the HI market. Additionally, when the Seller thought they were going to have to delay the closing due to some paperwork they miss-filed, Stephanie and Scoop were able to work with the Sellers Realtor to resolve the issue and keep our closing on schedule. Additionally, the seller was a coworker of ours. Unfortunately, they had a habit of reaching out to us directly instead of working through their own Realtor. Stephanie and Scoop were very good at diplomatically redirecting the conversation back through themselves and talking to the Seller’s Realtor. This was a huge relief as it allowed us to keep a more professional environment during the sale and at our own workplace. They were amazing about following through with our questions or concerns when we requested things such as receipts for repairs at the house, getting copies of HOA docs, etc. The Seller was not always prompt, so we really appreciated the persistence on their part. On top of all this, they always had an outstanding, positive attitude that really helped take a lot of the stress out of the process for us. Something we truly appreciated was that they gave us 100% of their effort in spite of the fact that the Seller chose to reduce the commission for the Realtors below the standard rate. This, to me, is a true sign of integrity and shows that they truly care about the people they are representing. I recommend them to anyone I know who is interested in buying or selling a home. We deeply appreciated all of their hard work and drive, and if I ever have need of a Realtor again, I would not hesitate to reach back out to Stephanie and Scoop. She was incredibly helpful from the moment we contemplated an offer and even beyond closing. Her attention to detail is incredible--even finding errors that escrow agents did not see. She was extremely helpful at balancing the transaction, which was fairly complicated as it was a 1031 exchange involving a purchase in Hawaii and a sale out of state. From the moment we decided to make an offer, Stephanie helped us strategize. Immediately upon acceptance, she provided us with a timeline of key dates (something I took for granted but I could not get from another realtor who was selling our house out of state--even after begging). We always knew what the next step would be in this complex process. Stephanie negotiated several extensions of escrow for us and credits when there were small problems with the inspections. Stephanie always responded quickly and helpfully to inquiries, and for much of the escrow period, I was out of the country, and 13 hours ahead of Hawaiian time. We would recommend Stephanie with the greatest enthusiasm. We felt in good and safe hands throughout, which is a big deal when essentially plopping 50 years of assets into a property! Aside from her professionalism and attention to detail, Stephanie is a lovely person with great integrity, and it is a pleasure to work with her.
